No, I think it's the Europeans who don't want them in.
My nephew works at NATO headquarters and he was telling me how the Turkish army treats its regular soldiers.
It is not acceptable to Europeans. The Turkish army was forced to close down their "beating" room in Brussels.
Also, the regular soldiers are never allowed to go out at night. He even said that Turkish officers are allowed to shoot two of their own men per year, but have to explain any more than that.
