Interpretation of Weekly Signal Charts

"It is now safe to begin accumulating short positions at short term tops in the daily and the hourly stochastic oscillator. I suspect that we might rally through Tues. morning, and that the Fed announcement will be sold, even if it is a 50 bp cut. Above NDX 1600, there is a massive overhang of supply which will be very difficult to get through. The pros who have been accumulating stocks are not stupid enough to try, and you see their resolve softening as we climb closer to that supply. They need cover from the great herds of sheep. Although bull markets do being during recessions, we do not get baby bulls when the economy is accellerating to the downside, as it is right now. We tend to get new bull markets when the rate of deterioration slows. Right now, the pros are betting on the come that the deterioration they see is a one off event attributable to 9-11 and that the economy will turn around quickly. But there is no confirming evidence in the CRB or the price of copper. The odds favor a retest of the September lows."
