Will,
US is driving them to make a choice in this round. I hope we turn the pressure up and dont go back to business as usual. Perhaps a guarantted, multi-signed peace between the Palestinians and Israel could be a first step. For that to happen though, many arabs for the first time will have to accept israel as permanent to the area. And israel will have to give up some existing settlements as well as eschewing all future ones. mike

Will,

Despots all over the world have used that tactic for decades. The Islamic countries are just catching up.

I think the US should recruit some of those Afghan women who claim they have nothing to live for since they've been beaten and serial raped by the Taliban. Give them a rifle, food, and some training, then turn them loose to take their vengence. Seems to me a woman's movement is just what Islam needs anyway.

Regards,

Knip
