Pakistan however cannot afford to be divided on the issue. Pakistanis must stand by the US in this time of need because this moment has brought with it a chance for the world to see our National Character, if you will. We are a moderate nation and fundamentalism is opposed to the very nature of Pakistan. In the pre-1947 era the 'ulema' were anti-Pakistan and issued fatwas for all Muslims to follow Gandhi as their spiritual leader. It is the same genre of people who have become the religious tyrants in Pakistan who aim to tilt the balance of Pakistan towards a backward and fundamentalist nature. We have to recognize these people and stop them form succeeding in their mission. If not for our conscience, we must do it in the name of our National Sovereignty. In America, Indians are promoting a vigorous campaign against Pakistan on various news channels by calling in. It hurts their dream of being the only dominant force in South Asia. They cannot see Pakistan as an ally of America, because they know we stand a better chance to make it to the modern progressive ideal Jinnah sought for us. These people have a personal vendetta against Pakistan and by all Pakistanis not standing up to the plate here, we are iving them a chance to point fingers. It is an attempt to malign us to dust and to label us a terrorist state. We must realize that if we do not stand up and contribute towards the media we will loose yet another battle to propaganda. I urge all Pakistanis all over the world to stand as one nation and remove the chains of the past so that we may latch on a future better than what we have today: Economically and socially, but above all for the fact that we owe it to humanity to punish the people who broke all rules of dissent. In closing I post this quote: "The new state would be a modern democratic state with sovereignty resting in the people and the members of the new nation having equal rights of citizenship regardless of their religion, caste or creed."
