ad, Re: ST - Trading FWIW, I'm breaking all my own rules and just pressed my AMAT play here at the close for an additional 2000 shares at $39.90, making this the largest short position I've ever held (5000 shares)

Not a good sign, rules are rules which should not be broken especially for these short term play where fundamental analysis does not apply. Anyway, best of luck.

Do you think that making your moves public helps or hurts you?

and just pressed my AMAT play here at the close for an additional 2000 shares at $39.90, making this the largest short position I've ever held (5000 shares). It's a do or die play

I covered my large sized AMAT play, with similar KLAC and NVLS positions, around 3:30. I held from last Thursday and got killed. I look to reenter and hope I didn't get out at the high, but when it's do or die I decided I want to live to play another day. Be careful.
