Unless Compaq goes out of its way to keep ZOOX viable in the high-volume market segment in order to keep its major switch suppliers honest, I don't see ZOOX lasting this downturn. Everybody is starting to pare down their engineering programs and that may include reducing support for switches that are not gaining any traction in the marketplace. It's a definite longshot for the company with the slingshot.
