Scots, wha hae wi’ Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led,
Welcome to your gory bed
Or to victorie!

Now’s the day, and now’s the hour:
See the front o’ battle lour,
See approach proud Dubya's power-
Chains and slaverie!

Wha will be a traitor knave?
Wha can fill a coward’s grave?
Wha sae base as be a slave?-
Let him turn, and flee!

Wha for BC's Queen and Law
Freedom’s sword will strongly draw,
Freeman stand or freeman fa’,
Let him follow me!

By Oppression’s woes and pains,
By your sons in servile chains,
We will drain our dearest veins
But they shall be free!

Lay the loud Ragostas low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty’s in every blow!
Let us do, or die!

That would be great, if wiser heads could prevail down there ... seems like there are better things we could be doing than fending off attacks from a supposed ally ... and many individuals and groups down there are onside, just not so vocal now, in light of the pressing situation following the WTC ... ourselves we left this issue, little thinking that the yellow pine sleazeballs would be permitted to conspire against us in the middle of a world crisis ... well no more, never again, no quarter, no pasarán

etc.,

Re: Call me an optimist but I believe the dispute will be settled by the back room boys before Christmas.

I believe you could be on to something. One thing I've noticed about the Bushistas is that they take care of their friends. Your BC timber companies made a bad mistake by not contributing to the Bush campaign. What's NAFTA supposed to be good for anyway? Now, I've noticed in the O&G sector that the bribes this electoral cycle seemed to get paid off somewhere in the 200:1 range. So, once the good ol' U.S. timber companies have been "made whole" by the tariff, it'll magically disappear. Mebbe by Christmas, mebbe by Easter. But, we know the limits to this stuff. Relax. <wink>

Namaste, Ray
