Hi Carolyn I'm running win 98, but I presume it would work the same. Insert your floppy Go to the appropiate drive (mine is A) Right click on the little computer in the upper left corner The little menu will have format on it If your windows explorer isn't on your desk top look under programs when you press the start button KC

Windows Explorer is a program that shows what's on your computer. Start>Programs> Windows Explorer or Start>Programs> Windows Explorer depending on what OS you are using. If you go into Windows Explorer and right click 3 1/2 Floppy (A:) one of the options is format.
