Cary, I hear what you're saying. Thanks. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't review the charts and wonder when we might return to that old familiar $40 to $50 range. That's the same range that held solid and defied logic (IMO) by not breaking down a lot earlier than it did. Yeah, I remember it well, and it scares me a bit, especially sitting where we are today.

BTW, You're mostly correct about my reinvesting short profits into an AMAT long position. I did make that move, and a few others after that, both in and out before settling where I am currently: Today I hold zero shares of AMAT long and still plan on purchasing at least 2000 shares long in the future.

Are you saying overbought state can last thru the winter? Is this your opinion or that of the services you follow? If this does occur, do you have high side price points on when to unload your favored group of stocks. Would you have a ratcheting technique on the upside as well? I know you have alluded to this possibility before. Would be very interested if you could organize a response on a few stocks. mike
