No not at all. The intent is reliable service for streaming video and audio. The peeering of the various bandwidth carriers is not always equal. It is best to stay on the same carrier for a specific high data service.

The rason is they took on too much debt. Also, the economic slow down world wide has slowed the roll out of broadband to lots of areas. No one in their right mind would want to try and watch live audio with dial-up.

Here is a pretty good site that provides world wide traffic on an hourly basis.

Check it occasionally during prime time on week days. It read almost zero all day September 11th.
