The Sheople's Republic of Aotearoa has HIGH taxation. Not to mention increasing state control of everything. Most Kiwis believe in wealth taxes, especially for other people. Never mind self-sufficient immigrants, we have state-dependent immigrants. Some of whom are terrorists or terrorists in training. The USA doesn't have all the wackiness to itself. The USA and NZ are in a race to replace the USSR. It's a tight race, but NZ won the America's Cup last time and should pull it off again in the State Control Stakes. Mqurice PS: So, don't come here to save taxes [incomes are lower than taxes are high, so don't come to earn your fortune either]. Come to enjoy a nice climate, nice scenery, clean air, fresh fish, good wine, few gunshot wounds, no terrorism since the French got caught with their pants down bombing a harmless Greenpeace boat and killing a Portugese photographer. Bring sunscreen or ASTM 4 or more skin colour. Bringing a pile of cash helps the 'points score' by which immigrants are measure. NZ is the only country which volunteered to take some of the Afghan refugees from the Tampa.
