Bloomberg was a Democrat. Do you see how bright and thoughtful that makes New York Democrats that they cast their votes based on issues rather than falling into the mindless lockstep of voting only along party lines. Bloomberg, who could afford to buy himself a city, certainly must love New York to take on the overwhelming task of navigating her into prosperity in the 21st Century.
