BT Demand for Alcatel DSL Modems Reaches Record Levels Demand for Broadband ramped up by BT pricing and marketing campaign London, November 2, 2001 - Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) today announced that it has delivered a record number of Speed Touch DSL Modems to BT this week, following the success of the recent pricing and marketing initiatives implemented by BT. Alcatel will deliver an extra 30,000 USB Speed Touch Modems to BT in order to meet the greater than expected increase in demand generated by the campaign.
