(Nasdaq: QLGC chart, msgs), the only end-to-end storage network infrastructure provider, today announced its two gigabit (2Gb) SANblade(R) host bus adapters (HBAs) and SANbox(TM) switches are certified with LSI Logic Storage Systems' new MetaStor(R) E4600 2Gb storage system, and will be available as part of a complete 2Gb storage network solution, allowing customers to implement affordable, full-performance 2Gb SANs today.
The E4600 now available from LSI Logic Storage Systems, a leading supplier of innovative storage solutions for the open enterprise, supports up to four concurrent 2Gb Fibre Channel host connections. This allows QLogic's end-to-end infrastructure to connect multiple-vendor, high-performance servers at accelerated transfer rates to the E4600, which scales from 36GB to 39TB of capacity.

In database-intensive environments, the MetaStor E4600 can deliver up to 110,000 I/Os per second.
