Do you think I have a "safe haven" that is unavailable to the rest of you?

"Ruthless dictator" is not a description I have ever used, but since you mention it, I can easily conceive of a "ruthless dictatorship" which uses Bush's smiling face and joe-6pack blabber as a figurehead. I don't believe the current US government even remotely approaches a dictatorship. Ashcrofts disgusting stance against Oregon's doctors is a step in that direction.

I will confirm that I believe that, effectively, Bush is "not in charge." There is not one obvious figure manipulating "behind the throne," but there are a number of candidates.

>This showing up from time to time to lob bombs and then going off go a safe haven. Sounds like someone
who is in the news a lot these days.<

Are you referring to Cary or Bush?

As far as Cary's posting his political views here, I have no problem with it, hit and run or not. He has as much right to post his views here as do any of us, even though I disagree with most of them. I have a good friend who is an ultra-liberal and some of his rants border on sheer lunacy, but I've learned to live with them because I value the non-political side of his personna. Same with Cary.

Knip
