It's not as if religion is the basis of the purchase of Christmas gifts in the geographic areas where Christianity dominates.

True. I guess it depends on how in touch one is with their Christianity and the gift of giving. Remove baby Jesus from the scenario and I guess it is Santa that spurs on the rush to make those traditional lines from Thanksgiving to the New Year enough to impart shopping frustration.

I've got Hannukah and Christmas shopping to do. Maybe a little Santa shopping as well.
