I liked that part
"impact of FAS 142 and hasn't yet determined the full effects these statements will have on its consolidated financial position"
I mistakenly thought that financial position does not depend on accounting rules :-)) but as always I was wrong
and the part
" Intel Corp. (INTC) expects its net income to increase by about $1.5 billion for 2002 as a result of the adoption of Financial Accounting Standard 142.
now the question is if intel would manage to get above 1.5B income in q4

Milo, Re: "AMD's marketshare is as large as it has ever been, and you know INTC will continue to lose share next year. INTC is going to have to close down some FAB's soon will all that extra capicity. Time to face the reality of a world wide recession and dust of the resume'. INTC is very fat with personal, to the tune of 20,000."

Thanks for proving that you are, in fact, an AMDroid with fancy delusions, no fundamentals, and a lack of touch with reality.

I don't recall you expressing any CONCERN when AMD laid off 15% off their employees.

Milo, <AMD's marketshare is as large as it has ever been, and you know INTC will continue to lose share next year.>

Even if that were true (which is highly unlikely), ever hear of a Pyrrhic victory?

<And don't get me wrong I don't want to see anyone unemployed, but I wouldn't want anyone blindsided either.>

The only ones who will be blindsided are those who think AMD has a snowball's chance in hell taking on Intel in the enterprise.
