Well, for me, that would be appropriate, but since my Integra is paid off, I will just hold on to it. But for the Boy, I like having him wrapped up in a big piece of metal. Maybe we should just go out and get a tank....

Or you could just get an old beat up truck

I've got that covered with my 90 GMC ext cab 4x4 with snow plow, wood hauler. Little rust in the cab corners and a svelte 163k miles. But you don't have to be afraid to get off the road and get where you need to be. Just the way I like it:)

Or you could just get an old beat up truck like I have. Insurance is cheap too.

Um, Not necessarily! I have an 85 chevy Scottsdale(regular run o'da mill) and Mrs. West has a 2000 Dodge grand caravan-(JXM, we have Nintendo as well as the TV/VCR)- the car is loaded. But we're paying .9% financing on it.

Anyhow, our insurance combine is $1800/year. Here's the catch though. Mrs. West is the driver of the van, I'm the driver of the truck. The van's insurance(mind you it's full coverage cuz it's being financed) costs us$600/year. Yep, you guessed it. The truck is $1200/year to insure and that's only liability. I'm paying half the value of the truck just to keep it on the road!.

But, all I have to do is make it until April '02 w/out any claims and the insurance will be only $400/year.

Thus my most recent incident, though it will cost me just under $1200 for body repairs is not getting reported to the insurance company.

So it's not necessarily the car, but the driver. I should be embarrassed(but I'm not) to post this 'cuz I'm not really not a bad driver, just some bad luck.

I like the quote from The Shawshank Redemption.

"You know Red. there's all this shit out there just floating around. I guess it has to land on someone."
I guess it found me and decided to stick around.
