what exactly is that ? i think you acknowledge that there are (at least) three processing (as opposed to memory access) clock domains in p4 and intel picks one which they like. why is the p4 2000+ is not a 1000 mhz or 4000 mhz chip ?

what's wrong is when a 2000+ chip gets beaten by a 1900+ chip and some people think that it should be a 1600 mhz clock beating a 2000 mhz clock. don't you think that would be more embarrassing for intel ?
