I don't think it was condescending, because her column was received as very insulting by many Italians and others. I don't think it can be denied she is provacative and a gadfly. I'm not saying I dislike her or that she is wrong, in fact I kind of like many of the barbs she threw. But you should personally be careful Neo.....the Grand Poopah of Patriotism, Mr. Srexley, will cite you as un-American for your description of the openness of American society. I guarantee he would if it were any of the liberal band who wrote it.
