Zeev
You put on your bear suit and go to cash.
Others like aj99, jay, etc look at your bear suit
ans short the market. Maybe you should explain the
difference in risk between cash and short?

I have mentioned to a number of people that when I give
a sell, that is entirely different then giving a short the
market signal.

Just a thought.
Maybe it's their money!
Maybe it's their RISK !

Zeev: An alternate scenario.

Many analysts and investors are anticipation a significant retracement from current levels and possibly a retest of the 9/21 lows between now and the end of the year. However, the current market strength, manifest by: heavy institutional and mutual fund buying; breakthroughs of numerous levels of overhead resistance on high volume; persistent ability to advance despite unfavorable economic data has me questioning whether we will have a retest this year. Additionally, we are in the seasonally strong season of the market and sentiment remains quite bearish -- the market still has the proverbial "wall of worry" to support further advances.

My point: could we not continue to advance strongly throughout the remainder of 2001 and into Q1 of 2002, with the final leg of the bear market occurring next year, in the seasonally weak period (Q2 and Q3, April through September)? I am becoming convinced that this is the scenario that will play out before we truly have a new bull market.

What are your thoughts in this regard and why do you still think the retest will occur in December rather than 2002?
