mrcjmoney - You basically summed up Islam correctly (in my view of course), and I have been in contact and been in many Islamic societies as my business takes me to such places. Your high level knowledge of Islam - I would say - is right on the target.

mrcjmoney, While I generally agree with your understanding of Islam, however I do disagree with your following statement: > I know of no Muslim that has been a positive influence in the world. (has any Muslim developed a patents; assisted in peace solving; developed an invention, etc.) Keep in mind a vast majority of Muslims are Muslims out of reluctance for which they are born into the religion, and do not believe in what Quran says (which in most part gives created a framework for creating hate and evil). There are plenty of people (who reluctantly had to call themselves Muslims for social, and traditional reasons) who have contributed greatly to the civilized world. Anavar Sadat called himself a Muslim, and yet his belief in peace, and compassionate love makes him anything but someone who is a follower of the Islamic religion and Quran. And the list goes on... Therefore do not mistake Quran, and Islam with a vast majority of Muslims who reluctantly are born into it and have no choice but to carry on the name Islam on their forehead. Regards,
