QCOM didn't warn anything. They gave their first guidance for their fiscal 2002. Analyst had forecast too high a number, but it was analyst's estimates that were too high, not QCOM's guidance. Prior to yeserday all that QCOM had said was that fiscal 2002 (Sep) looks good - but no numbers.

Not only that, but several houses came out and reiterated their buy ratings with very positive wording........yes, estimates were cut for the next couple of quarters, but that is expected with the current economic picture...but bottom line is qcom should be a great long term stock to hold........IMO, of course <ggg>
