Actually, the figures fully corroborate the article - which was written by a Washington Post Board member, among others - that the Supreme Court has risen in esteem following the Bush v. Gore decision.

btw, to show just how bizarre your reasoning is - go look at the Gallup figures again. All the falloff Gallup shows is basically among Republicans - the support among Dems increases markedly. Both movements are obviously unrelated to the Bush v. Gore decision.
