What about the German WW1 reparations?

I'm sorry to say, I'm not going to research the amounts further, but my reading indicates that there was a deep resentment within Germany regarding the reparations. Frankly, I couldn't make heads or tails of the article you provided. If that's a "plain way of making their thoughts heard", I'd hate to hear the spun version.

Re: The fact that Germany re armed and fought WW2 does challenge the established view.

I've no idea what you mean by "the established view". We seem to have a few of them, some mutually exclusive. <g>

At any rate, I'm no expert on the Versailles Treaty, so I will let it rest here. Thanks for your views.
