Nope. They are integrating the memory controller, a far different thing from the memory controller, video, sound, IDE, keyboard, mouse, etc.


Jim was talking about Timna, and that design was only integrating the memory controller, too. The sound, IDE, keyboard, mouse, etc, were still supposed to come out of a separate ICH chip. Therefore, I don't see how Jim can simultaneously expect a guaranteed demise with Intel's Timna integrating the memory controller, but a guaranteed success with Hammer doing the same thing.
