An excellent idea. Michigan recently passed a "must permit ccw law" which replaces the
old law that permitted ccw licenses only for those who met criteria set by the local sheriff.
The basic requirement was "how much have you contributed to my political coffers?", or "are
you a big shot?". The Carl Rowan law. The new requirements are an accepted course in gun safety and a non-felon among other reasonable requirements.
