Real ale campaigners recruit gay and lesbian volunteers

Better beer campaigners are to recruit gay and lesbian members to spread their message.

The Campaign for Real Ale says new recruits will target gay bars to help promote its image.

Good Beer Guide editor Roger Protz says that for too long the campaign has been associated with "beards and anoraks".

Founder Camra member Terry Pattinson said: "It has always been non-political and non-sexist. It was always about how much decent real ale you could get down your neck."

The new group will be called Lagrad - Lesbian and Gay Real Ale Drinkers, reports The Mirror.

btw re:-

The report, commissioned by alcohol-free beer brand Kaliber, surveyed 900 men on their reasons for going to the pub.

I think Kaliber (brewed by Guinness, with the alcohol removed later) is a great non alcoholic beer, and even recently improved.
