well i must admit I felt a LOT better after things fell over at 2 o'clock

I really thought the selloff would begin yesterday
had sold most of my longs and had quite a few shorts on

mid day today I sold more longs and added my "fav' shorts
BRCM EBAY EMLX JNPR MSCC
and was feeling like the market makers were squeezing my walnuts
that plus roofers over my head and the phone man fixing the lines
was not a happy camper
mid day was down $3k+
ended up 3k+
wheeewwwww!

anyway no way to know what Friday will bring but the charts say some downside
best guess would be the NASD 1740 area with 1640 possible

clearly sans some external new event the market wants to go up
but the last two weeks was pure funds panic buying and a hell of a short squeeze
time for a bit of a rest

Speaking of Oil:

-------------------------------By the OGJ Online Staff
HOUSTON, Nov. 2 -- The utilization rate among mobile offshore rigs in the Gulf of Mexico tumbled to a 9-year low as six more units came off contracts this week with no new jobs, said ODS-Petrodata Group officials Friday in Houston.

The utilization rate was down nearly three points to 58.7%, the lowest level since September 1992, with 122 rigs now under contract in gulf waters out of an available fleet of 208.

Officials at Baker Hughes Inc., Houston, reported total US drilling activity continued to dwindle, with 1,058 rotary rigs working this week. That's 5 fewer than the previous week and down 20 from the same period a year ago.
