"Her and her husband are in their mid 60's they had all their money in mutual funds(401K's) some of which are down over 60 percent..
Can I be overjoyed that at 65 she now has to go back to work.."

This is the kind of thing that bothers me. You were making fun of my heavy put buying a few days ago when the market subsequently rose. Personally, I will not participate in buying overvalued stocks - even if I think they are going up. The kind of cheerleading that you have participated in encourages these J6Ps to put their hard earned and much needed money into the markets. And then people criticise those who are short for being un-American.

People should trade the way they want to trade. That is the way to a fair and free market. Well meaning advice is great, but gloating and wishing pain on those who bet the other way is pathetic.

WHen the market gets down to near where it was on 9/21, I will likely cash in my puts. I then expect a bounce. I will not play that bounce even though I anticipate it and can make money out of it - unless I find a stock I believe to be undervalued.

Just as some here do not like shorting, and sit aside during down periods, I have that attitude toward going long in bubble stocks. Each to his own and let's stop the personal attacks.
