GOOD MORNING AFGHANISTAN!!! The House yesterday passed H.R. 2998 authorizing the creation of Radio Free Afghanistan. Based on Radio Free Europe during the Cold War, and Radio Free Asia currently, it's purpose is to counter the pro bin Laden propaganda that Afghans have been bombarded with (and accepted as truth). No doubt we’ve dropped the ball in the effort to get our side of the story to the Afghan people, and we will be playing catch-up for a long time to come.
