I;m sorry to say that I agree with you. I like INTC,SEBL for example as companies but I can't see buying at anywhere near these prices. Well as Thomas said some while back, valuationists wind up not buying anything.
Indeed the shorts are panicking but since we don't know who they are and how many they are and to what degree will they panic etc. we eschew such exercises in mass psychology. We're out on a limb. When IBM was in its heyday I used to buy it at 40 times earnings. But I can't buy INTC or SEBL at anywhere near that. ???

Nice rant, Soros <lol>.

>> Do you know anything about any of these individual companies and what could possibly justify these prices?

Yes, at least we think we do. Time will tell.

>> Do any of these companies have some lock on a technology that is a sure thing that will bring them huge revenues ANYTIME SOON?

Yes. You're 2 for 2 <gg>.

>> I think games rule the day.

They always have. It's just taken you a long time to realize it. But the neat thing is that no one forces you to play the game if you don't like it.

>> I stand ready to be shown I am a raving lunatic and idiot.

ROFLMAO! You're no idiot, Soros. You're a value investor who sees a window of opportunity closing because stocks are over valued by your standards. But there is no shortage off other investment categories that would.
