Naturally. That is why Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982. The PLO was gaining international respect for adhering to the cease-fire, and that sent the Israeli leadership into a panic.

The Israeli government wants them to rebel. This demon-izes them in the eyes of those who do not look past the 60 second news story on the American media outlets.

Since, as you just said, the Palestinian rebellion is harmful to their own interests and helpful to Israel, I presume you want to see it end. After all, the best interests of the Palestinians are close to your heart. Why should young Palestinians continue to kill themselves for the benefit of Israeli PR, right?
