I earned Rich's broken promise to never post to me again not by disagreeing with American policies but by saying that a large number of people disagreed with them. I actually said America was unpopular amongst other countries. That doesn't mean I don't like their policies. Did you know there were celebrations in the street in Greece and in England and in Denmark after WTC? Did you see the Athens soccer fans in Scotland holding their arms out and making like Aeroplanes to taunt the British allies who were chanting "USA" in response to the Greeks refusal to participate in the minute's silence at the match? These are just my experiences from countries I have been in since 9/11. When I am at home I have CNN on most of the time. Other times I have BBC News 24. It is amazing how different the news is between channels. I firmly believe that Americans are shielded from World news and that the US press is heavily censored. Do you know why the Greeks don't like the USA? It is because they came to the aid of Muslims in a number of Balkan countries - countries which suffered from violent uprising, terrorism and the killing of civilians. So USA gets criticised for being Anti Muslim in the ME, and for being pro Muslim in the Balkans. It is a fact of life that you can't please everyone, and if you are a superpower you are going to piss people off however honourable your intentions. To admit that is not Anti American. GDP went negative recently. Some here would have us say it was positive because admitting unpleasant facts is not patriotic. Ooops, don't wanna give Greenspan any ideas if he is reading this <g> Neither did I earn the right to be disappointed by the fleeting thought he would never post to me again through criticising Israeli soldiers for shooting children, but for criticising the retaliation on the part of the Palestinians as a parallel for Rich1's thirst for blood against innocents in revenge for 9/11. And as for the final point you made on the insensitivty of timing of remarks, maybe you are right and I have admitted that long ago.

Just back from my privileged 12 year old daughter softball game...LOL.. You left Steve's old thread because he called everyone that went long a bunch of idiots.. You left his old thread to get away from him.. Now you embrace him... That disgusts me.. As a Jew and a supporter of Israel I find it alarming that you continue to embrace someone of his ilk.. For the record my wife is Christian and we respect each others religion so it isnt that I am anti not Jewish.. I am anti anyone who is UnAmerican UnIsraeli and UnJ6p.. That idiot blamed me and folks like me for the 65 year old couple who lost their retirement..He has also showed no sensitivity to Americas terrible tragedy.. Ask him if he gives a darn.. Zeev....As far as I am concerned you sold out for a couple bucks to your favorite charity or is that your fans treat you like a demigod and thats more important....

Rich I think you know I am the one Z responded to about the children and other positions .His mellow logical approach was of benefit to us both as I placed less weight on my former position and came closer to his. In a PM I expressed my appreciation for sharing his political as well as financial info. While I was in the service I volunteered for Vietnam. Painting me with the labile of ani-American does not apply and among my Jewish friends who would be shocked to here me called anti Semitic one calls me blood as in family. As you know by our PM's I bear you no malice but feel you came down on Z and others to harshly. Please consider a more mellow discussion it would be more productive for all.
