Recession starting to bite. US layoffs ytd = 919,821

Digging around tonight and found this little tidbit hidden away in a dusty corner of Forbes.com.

Not even sure if the url has ever been posted here or on the old thread. Also breaks out recent specific company layoffs. Bethlehem Steel not a surprise.

a cartel ain't no cartel with real competition

as i was speculating here about a week or so ago, putin, bush's new best friend, can make some of opec's governments squirm like worms. now that russia has decided (i think they have decided now) that russia is with the west, i think russia can really start to realize its full potential. i hope putin and bush can work things out for real this weekend down here in crawford.
