Ron: I didn't get a weasel in my shorts when Falwell said what said regarding 9-11 and America being a sinful nation. (I went to a parochial grade school and high school, so what he said was hardly shocking to me. Heard it all before.) Falwell is a revival fires Baptist preacher, and he spoke from his heart, and I'm sure many in America would agree that the "Wages of sin is death." What he said was very much in keeping with an Old Testament view of world history, from the prophet Isaiah through the prophet Malachi. Actually, I was a little surprised that he apologized.

What specifically did Clinton say that was off base? Is America a violent nation? Yes. Are we still paying a price today for keeping an entire race of people enslaved (and uneducated) for 300 years? Absolutely.

It is vitally important that we address the underlying issues of 9-11 (and 1619) instead of only focusing on whether the murdering butcher bin Laden is brought to justice.

Agree?
