>> Cisco has one of the best supply chain management programs in effect and things got out of control there.

They sure did. It makes me wonder if Cisco really does have a good supply chain management program to begin with. Do you know whose they use, or if it is homegrown?

>> Nike's problems weren't solved with ITWO either.

Never had a chance; the installation was faulty. Clearly ITWO is responsible for that.

>> Technology has it's limits.

True, but it has offered impressive improvements over the low tech methods it's replaced, and continues to improve rapidly. It isn't that long ago that engineers used slide rules and look up tables, and management relied on spread sheets drawn by hand and added manually. Or maybe it was that long ago <lol>.

>> I think the economy is going to be just fine. Not gangbusters like in 1999-2000, but enough to prevent a long drawn out recession.

We went via different logic paths, but somehow we came to the same conclusion. I hope that means we're right.

Speaking of supply chains, I notice that those guys seem to be getting some attention lately. Who do you think is best positioned in the group ARBA, CMRC, ITWO, etc?
