Yamamura reports to Edward G. Newman, Xybernaut chairman, president and CEO. Yamamura will be responsible for expanding Xybernaut's mobile and wearable technologies and solutions in key Asian and Pacific Rim markets. A seasoned international business leader, Yamamura had been serving as vice president with Xybernaut since joining the company in October 2000. As president and CEO of Xybernaut KK, Yamamura will concentrate primarily on partnerships, business development, strategic product planning and day-to-day business operations throughout the region. Previously, Yamamura served as general manager for Sony Corporation from 1982 until 2000. While with Sony, Yamamura was instrumental in establishing Sony's leadership in many critical technology areas including CCD/LCD displays, 8mm video cameras and HDVS video cameras. Yamamura led business management and planning for several of Sony's most critical international businesses including management of more than one billion dollars of annual revenue.
