Better start talking to corporations dude. Cause none of them are deploying XP. There is no reason for them to do so. In fact there is a reason not to deploy.

I am not disagreeing with you on the corporate market.
Corporations are much slower in adopting new operating systems. I was referring to consumer demand.

Great point, sylvester. Were those sales possibly pre-loaded in PC's? Are those actual retail purchases, or shipments to retailers? It is difficult to read anything into those numbers without delving deeper.

XP is a joke, unless you are a systems administrator. Only then can you appreciate the remote access feature. However, you can get that feature off the shelf without having to upgrade everyone. There is no other compelling reason to upgrade to XP from Windows 9x.

Good point that you made about training. 2-things get cut during down business cycles - training and travel. I think it is more likely that companies will spend money on re-training downsized workers than training workers to run XP.
