I have said as much before. But I didn't start the group, Mani did, so I can't set the rules. For one, I think Mani has taken a lot of grief on himself by chosing this particular set of rules. But that is just my opinion.

The bottom line, these are the rules and the posters either abide by them or suffer the penalties that are detailed. That is how life operates, so there is nothing unusual there. The "five complaints to trigger a vote" (I'm paraphrasing) is problematic to me because that opens the possibility of someone being banned for no real good reason. But, on the otherhand, I don't have a better solution. Having the moderator solely deciding opens the certainty that people will harrass him on charges of personality conflict or personal vendetta. This, by the way, has already happened here.

I preferred a non-moderated group. But most people moved here.
