As I recall, the Japanese are fond of platinum jewelry, so maybe if they ever get rich again . . .

I notice that PAL is into all the palladium/platinum metals, and has actually made money.

I might get into PAL rather than the more speculative and smaller companies. I own many energy dogs, cats, hamsters, and gerbils that are too illiquid, and there really is a lot to be said for a stock that gets quoted and traded in some volume.
