Ten - Re: "Mark my words, this will not be the last delay. I was surprised to see AMD continue to talk about Sledgehammer as if it were a sure thing, because this is what is going against it:"

What was VERY CONFUSING from the Analyst Conference - regarding the SludgePumper, was whether it was going to be a 0.13 micron/SOI product - or DELAYED until the 0.09/SOI process was "near ready".

Whatever the case, the bare facts are that AMD will NOT have any CPU solution for other than 2-way SMP capability for the next 18 months (MINIMUM) - the current AthWiperMP - which has become a DUD in its own right - and "possibly" the ClodHamster sometime late next year.

This GAPING HOLE will convince any and all serious server manufacturers that sticking with Intel's 32 bit and 64 bit server solution is the ONLY SANE WAY to go.
