"Surely you are not suggesting to cooporate with them in that respect?"

Absolutely NOT! However, is it all that unreasonable to think that the vast majority of people of whatever faith
want peace? Of course there are terrorists and purveyors of hate and it is generally not possible to cooperate or reason with them. However, it is a mistake to think of whole populations as if they are all terrorists!

"On the other hand his teachings would work best if you are living in a free thinking society such as the U.S."
Very true! However, such Teachings are embraced on an
individual basis, in small communities, and are not particularly "visible". Neither are there door-to-door
solicitations or any open solicitations of people to "change" religion.

"But they all seem to be isloated in their own world somewhere on top of some mountain facing the ocean with lots of birds, and fresh air!"
You can live in a setting of beauty, with fresh air,
sea, huge redwoods around, lots of birds, etc and not be
isolated. I do and I recommend it. However, the majority of Adi Da's devotees live in cities and have regular, conventional occupations.

"and into the real world"
Are you suggesting that whatever it is that you are experiencing is the REAL WORLD? Are you sure?

And finally, Addi, I am surprised that you have not taken up the free book offer! Not even when the Guru's name is
ADI Da? You can always tell your friends they misspelled your name and put the wrong picture on the cover!

Namaste!
