craig, don't get mushy on me, bro ;-) reasonable immigration is good for america. shutting down borders w/b bad for america. for a number of reasons. no, the borders should not be wide open. neither should they be shut down. there is a reasonable middle ground that IS in the best interest of america. but, as i said, the politicians will guide this country in their self interest. no form of human govt is going to work long term b/c humans are fundamentally flawed... selfishness reigns supreme and it is impossible for folks to live together in harmony as long as this is the case (and everyone is guilty of this).
