Hello, Maurice:

Actually Pierre, I have advocated Globalstar not 'filling in the gaps' so much as competing directly with rather than complementing terrestrial mobile phones

Yes, I remember that very well. It was why you didn't like the SP situation in the first place, as I recall.

I don't like the complementary stuff. I like brutal competition.

Understood. Still, within the context of competition, and recognizing that most G* users will still need/want a cell phone, why don't the SPs see G* as another weapon of their own to employ as they "brutally compete" with other non-G* armed cell providers? I would think a pitch something like "buy a cell phone that works everywhere" would mean something in Brazil.

Pierre

Maurice Vesper should be good to take over the Globalstar service and make it happen. Maybe Q! has already got that in mind.

That's my speculation.. And Vesper will probably order a couple of hundred thousand Globalstar User Terminals from Qualcomm.. Maybe even some Omnitracs units under a Vendor Finance agreement..

Watch out for those Revenues and Margins in QWS to take off again.. Ladies and Gentlemen.. Please welcome....
