What we have hee-ah...is a failyah to communicate...

James,
I think we have a problem communicating because we are using different languages. I'm using conventional American English, and I'm afraid I don't speak Adi Da-ese. So when you repeatedly need to explain to me how Adi Da's use of words differ from the accepted English usage, we are going to move very slowly forward at best. Why does he redefine terms and is there a English-Adi Da-ese, Adi Da-ese-English dictionary?

Adi Da would say that the ego is an ACTIVITY, not an entity.

but...

The ego wants to participate in a plan for the change of its own consciousness and it wants to know what it is going to get to, and what it has to do to achieve that. Then it wants to know what it will lose in so doing.

Boy, it sure sounds like an entity to me.

By the way I'm trying to agree with you that there is no separation of self and divinity. That God is within us. That is why I celebrate the ego. But this knowledge comes from within myself, not from any teacher or religion. I just feel it.

when the ego relaxes into its source light-energy

Far out, dude. Until Adi Da defines his terms this is nothing more to me than gibberish. And by the way, if the ego isn't an entity how can it have a source?

over 17 years I have TESTED what Adi Da says, through the most intense cynical appraisal, and I have not found ANYTHING untrue.

Believe it or not, I am envious of your certainty. I wish I could believe in the ultimate truth of Adi Da's teachings the way you do. I wish I could believe as completely in the tenets of the Catholic church as my Grandfather did. I have been cursed with profound doubt.

if you send me a PM with what is outstanding, I will do my best.

I will move this to PM since we seem to not be able to stick to Understanding Islam...but for the record, most of my original questions are outstanding. And I believe that you will do your best.

I just visited Adi Da's web site.

8 X 10 Glossies for $15 a piece.

You want to talk some more about the evils of the ego?

I feel pretty foolish for engaging you.

I think our conversation is over.
