Hi Isopatch,

Does this qualify as anecdotal evidence?

I had dinner tonight with a close, longtime friend who is a member of a well-known music group from the 60's which recently performed at the Bohemian Grove. While hobnobbing with the guests, he sang a funny song about money from the group's repertoire. A gentleman in his 60's or 70's told him that he wanted to send the song to his good friend Paul O'Neill, Secretary fo the Treasury, and then proceeded to lecture my friend about how the dollar was being propped up, but that it would fall after the 1st of the year, gold would soar, and gold mining stocks would be unbuyable.

Isn't it interesting that a personal friend of O'Neill's would be so certain of this scenario and its timing? Yes, I've heard similar rumors before, but at least my friend (who knows nothing of gold) no longer thinks my talk of gold is over the edge.

Regards,

vt
