This is what SJD did, i.e. sit on their money. However, some shareholders were not happy with this approach to the bear market in gold. They wanted more drilling, i.e. spending. The company, apparently trying to show that it is alive, invested some of its cash into other sectors. Now, nobody is happy.
I was happy with the very conservative approach of SJD. They had a year when they financed all of their exploration activities with the interest on their capital.

Insider transactions:

Dennis Simoneau picks up 200,000 shares at 24 in the recently close private placement, then bought 5,000 more in the market at 22. Wonder how he feels about 15 cents?
