Hi SOED. I got shaken out of all my short positions last week. Still scarred from witnessing just how crazy the maniacs can get and thus ever-mindful of a pending market melt-up at any time. No crystal ball here, but an unwavering belief in reversion to the mean and the symmetrical nature of asset bubbles. Time will take care of that in due course. I'll probably continue to play around here and there, but thanks to incredibly fortunate investment results over the past 2 years I really don't need to take any chances. So, I'm keeping my market timing stuff to a minimum - perhaps more for entertainment purposes than anything else. Worried mostly about protecting what I've got, with attempted inflation and deflation hedges in place. Always on the lookout for the chance to acquire privately held real assets. <<The question is when?>> Happily unemployed (better to not worry about losing my job <g>) and debt-free, my question is when.....the heck is it going to start snowing!?!
