Big powerful statement, I like it. This will take lot of steam off Osama's engine. The right to represent as 'Islamic Pope' is punctured. Kandahar is anyway no 'Vatican.' Now the eastern Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Shiite population of Kuwait will be able to speak lot more open. I doubt Khamenie will toe Khatami line, although Khatami is one of the most moderate of Islamic thinkers. 200 million Shiites in the Islamic world are very vocal; their call of moderation is great news for mankind. Lebanon is one area where extremist Shiites have played havoc, however this moderate voice is resourceful.
